Cancellation Policy

Understanding Cancellations

We understand that plans can change. This page explains our cancellation policies for both students and property owners on the Percher platform.

Student Cancellations

Full Refund (48+ hours before check-in)

Cancel at least 48 hours before your scheduled check-in time for a full refund of your booking payment, minus service fees.

Partial Refund (24-48 hours before check-in)

Cancel between 24-48 hours before check-in for a 50% refund of your booking payment. Service fees are non-refundable.

No Refund (Less than 24 hours)

Cancellations made less than 24 hours before check-in are not eligible for refunds. The full booking amount will be retained by the property owner.

Property Tour Cancellations

For property tour bookings:

  • Cancel at least 6 hours before for a full refund
  • Cancellations within 6 hours: tour fee retained by property owner
  • No-shows are considered non-refundable

Property Owner Cancellations

If a property owner cancels a confirmed booking:

  • Student receives a full refund including all fees
  • Property owner may face penalties or listing restrictions
  • Percher will help the student find alternative accommodation
  • Student may be eligible for additional compensation in some cases

Exceptional Circumstances

Full refunds may be granted outside the standard policy for:

  • Medical emergencies (documentation required)
  • Family emergencies
  • University closure or policy changes
  • Government-mandated travel restrictions
  • Property misrepresentation or safety issues

How to Cancel

  1. Log in to your Percher account
  2. Go to “My Bookings”
  3. Select the booking you wish to cancel
  4. Click “Cancel Booking”
  5. Select your cancellation reason
  6. Confirm cancellation
  7. You will receive a confirmation email with refund details

Refund Processing

Approved refunds are typically processed within 5-10 business days. The refund will be returned to your original payment method. If you do not receive your refund within this timeframe, please contact our support team.
